England occupies the southern portion of Great Britain.With an area of 130 478 square kilometers(1993),it is the most inportant part of the Kingdom in wealth,size,and population.Itincludes London,the centre of government for the whole nation.Wales ,on the westren prominence between the Bristol Channel and the ,Deeestuary ,was effectively united with England in the 14th century.The area of Wales is 20768 square kilmeters(1993).
